Ambassador John Bolton Endorses Bruce Blakeman For Congress

Press Release

Date: Sept. 8, 2014
Location: Lawrence, NY
Issues: Foreign Affairs

Ambassador John Bolton made his first endorsement in the State of New York today by supporting Bruce Blakeman's campaign for Congress in the 4th District. Additionally, Bolton participated in, keynoted, and donated to an in-the-district fundraiser on Blakeman's behalf last evening in Lawrence. A strong supporter of Israel, Blakeman is the Republican-Conservative-Independence Party nominee running against Kathleen Rice for the open seat that the GOP has targeted for November's elections.

"I'm glad to endorse and enthusiastically support Bruce Blakeman for Congress," said Ambassador Bolton. "Bruce is a problem-solver who has never been afraid to be independent. He knows how to make a positive difference in people's lives and believes in an America that is strong at home and abroad. As the only candidate in this race with an economic plan, Bruce's strong support of Israel also sets him far ahead from President Obama, Kathleen Rice and the Democrats."

Bolton is committed to supporting candidates for elected office who believe in protecting the United States' vital freedoms at home by securing American interests in a challenging world. The John Bolton PAC and the John Bolton Super PAC have raised a combined $4.5 million to date with over $3 million cash on hand.

"As the United States' former Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton is an expert in foreign affairs and national security," said Blakeman. "Nassau County residents are fed up with the failed Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda on issue after issue that has led to a weak economy, increased taxes and an indecisive foreign policy. I'm running for Congress to make America strong again. I'm delighted to accept Ambassador Bolton's enthusiastic support of our campaign to change Washington."

Ambassador Bolton's PAC has endorsed or made contributions to 26 candidates and will continue to raise the importance of American national security in federal elections. Ambassador will support and contribute to candidates who are committed to restoring strong American economic and national security policies that secure the United States' interests in a challenging world.
